The Canon ix4000 uses 4 individual ink tanks for cost effective printing:
(compatible PGI-5BK, CLI-8C, CLI-8M & CLI-8Y)
Edible inks and 12x assorted sample icing sheets included:

4x '2.13 inch Round Icing Sheets'
4x '7.5 inch Round Icing Sheets'

- USB 2.0 connection only (USB cable not included)
- Average A4 colour print: 20 seconds

Supported Operating Systems:
Windows: PC with Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows Me or Windows 98.
Mac: Macintosh computer with Mac OS X v10.2.8 or later.

Important Notes:
The new canon printers have electronic chips on the cartridges.
The edible ink cartridges supplied with the printer will have electronic chips attached.
These chips can be reused when replacing the edible ink cartridges.

When reordering compatible edible ink cartridges from anycake.com they are available with or without the electronic chips. Currently it is more cost effective to reuse the original chips as purchasing cartridges with the chips attached is more expensive.

If reusing the chips you must be careful not to mix them up as each chip is specific to each colour. After using the first set of edible ink cartridges ink monitoring will be disabled so the user must be careful & monitor the ink levels. Printing when the ink cartridges are empty will damage the print head.
